Chicago Dept. of Procurement Services and the Cook County's Office of the Chief Procurement Officer present the 2013 Vendor Fair at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt. This event provides an oportunity for vendors to learn about contracting opportunities with City of Chicago and Cook County agencies and to network with other business owners. BACP offers Business Education Workshops throughout the year. The classes are FREE and open to the public. They are offered every Wednesday and Friday at BACP, located at City Hall, 121 N. LaSalle, Rm. 805. Class topics focus on start-up operations, financing, marketing and more. Classes are taught by industry professionals, not-for-profit agencies and city employees. Chicago Urban League's Entrepreneurship Center will conduct Nextstep Business Classes on Tuedays and Thursdays, 6pm to 8pm at the Chicago Urban League, 4510 S. Michigan Ave. These classes will provide hands-on learning experiences that assist entrepreneurs in learning how to write a business plan, forecast financial potential, how to conduct market research and take the right steps to start or grow an existing business.
